Open-ended offer: meeting Space in the CBD

Hi!

I remember seeing a thread recently about voting on where to have meetings. I just wanted to share an idea.

I’m getting an office this month, smack bang in the CBD. It’s in “Hub”, which is located at 200 Adelaide St. Pretty much on top of Central Station, but over one block. I’m aiming for a 4-5 person sized office so I can use it as a multi-functional space, including small-ish meetups.

If you’re interested, I’d be happy to host the Home Lab Brisbane meetup from the space, if the CBD is a convenient location to meet? Just a thought and an idea. An open offer, if you like.

I know I’ve only attended one but I’m keen to attend more in the future, and I’d be happy to host.

Cheers.

EDIT for Clarity: Hub has lots of open, community spaces that can be used as well, so I think a lot of big open spaces would be an option too. I’ll scope it out.

Sounds great to me @mcrilly and that’s a very generous offer.

At the last meeting I recall some discussion about a meeting in the Valley and a few were keen. A meeting place in town, near a railway station, would be even better. @jdownie books the meetings and we have Chermside for the next one since that was the most popular. However let’s see what everybody thinks but I feel we should at least try it out.

We have rationalised the program so that we catch up on the first Thursday of the month for the online meetings and the third Thursday for in person. Will that work for 6.30 to 9.00 pm at the Hub?

That should work for me. Thursdays are generally free for me
