In last week’s Intelligent Machines, Mike Masnick talked about his experiences with vibe coding. Mike is a journalist, online commentator and founder of the Techdirt web site. He’s a smart guy but has not coded since his university days.
He has various suggestions about how to get the most out of AI while avoiding the traps that lure you away from your desired outcome. He and the panel also have recommendations about using AI to quickly get up to speed on difficult technical topics.
Mike sees himself as an educator. He has done this through his company, his writings, as a director on the Board of the Blue Sky social media app and more recently as the co-author of the card game, One Billion Users. The aim of the game is, as the name suggests, to acquire 10^9 users for your new social media app. Ethics versus strategy is the perennial dilemma.
Unfortunately the Kickstarter copies are sold out.
