I recently stumbled across Gist.ai. It’s a search engine that is also a type of RAG, in that it confines its search to trusted publications.
The specific sources are cited in the answer and the relevant contribution of each source is displayed. Gist.ai shares revenue with the quoted publications and hence gist queries are able to access information that would otherwise be behind a paywall and unavailable to other LLMs.
Their homepage suggests topics that are currently hot in the media so I thought I’d try it on something a little more pertinent in our circle.
I can see some potential problems but here are a couple of examples so see what you think?
