I had wanted to use audiobookshelf a long time ago, but bailed on it because the android app expected valid ssl certificates. Now that i’m doing that properly (thanks to the help of several people here) it’s back in the game. This-morning i started listening to my favorite ever episode of Hardcore History. I bought the back catalog of that podcast years ago and the files have been sitting patiently on my NAS for all of that time. So far i’m very excited about revisiting it.
Anybody else using audiobookshelf? Any advice on features i should explore?
Ah I never had issues using it without sll certificates, but glad you are getting into it! Have also just moved to using Traefik, but got Audiobookshelf working some time ago. Accumulated ~300 hours of listening while doing chores or driving.
Recommend if using for audiobooks to follow the storage structure (here). For podcasts, as tempting as it was to download all my podcasts and listen from my server, there are a number of free software where you can have offline mode for podcasts, I am using AntennaPod. Does everything I needed.
Would love to hear if others have other features for audiobookshelf as well, as i do really enjoy using it
