Prices are up, renewables are down.
If you’ve got a big battery do you make more money in winter than summer?

no solar .. aint that the truth! …
… im going to have to buy energy from grid tomorrow.. after a measly 15kWh of solar today!
and to answer the question..
for me - way more in summer.
Longer days - way more solar during day to feed in
Nett solar 4-5pm (high FIT)
nett solar earlier in the day … so the discharge overnight is shorter and starts re-charging battery earlier.
so greater confidence to do a decent forced discharge during peak (eg 7-9pm)
Im guessing the Amber and Globird etc scenarios will be different however to mine
I think I have managed to avoid buying electricity but a V2H charging option would have been good to eliminate risk out running out and possibly even have the option of feeding in at higher rate.
Who are you with now? I have forgotten.
