A new gadget! TRMNL

I saw this video on YouTube a while ago…

…and with a big of birthday cash left over i splashed out. It only turned up yesterday, so i’ve only managed to turn on a few generic widgets (like for example “how many days until…”). Ultimately i’m hoping that i can use this as an ever present Home Assistant dashboard. We are always up and down this set of stairs, so i think between these light switches will be a good spot for it…

Anyway, it looked like the kind of thing the rest of you might like to hear about. I’ll let you all know how i progress.

That looks like the perfect unit for me too, so I’m following this with great interest!

I’ve been looking for a Home Assistant dashboard which I can mount on the wall or in the kitchen, but nothing really fit the bill in the way I’d like it to. A quick look into this TRMNL unit this evening suggests that the self-hosted aspect of it requires a bit of mucking around at the moment, and there’s no polished HA integration as yet - is that still the case or am I looking at old resources?
