I don’t know if this discussion is real or if the ‘facts’ discussed are real but it is very,very interesting.
I don’t know how they organised it all with two AI’s, I do know that that very sophisticated artificial voices have been around for at least 20 years, even if my best Unix artificial voice (pico2wave) still founds a little Borg like.
But you be the judge ? Perhaps some members here may have more intimate knowledge of this field than I, who was definitely swayed by their logic.
Amazing Terry. I knew of AIs ability to produce a podcast but this is the first time I have ever listened to one.
The discussants seemed almost credible with their patter and talking over each other. If the AI has a knob for “being annoying” they should turn that down.
LLMs have an “understanding” of “word space” far greater than any human will ever achieve, which is why they are so impressive. How closely that relates to “meat space” is one metric by which they can be judged. The longer the podcast went on the less I believed it.
AI podcasts are a fascinating simulation of the real world. I would group them with Days of Our Lives and Pornhub. Titillating but ultimately of no consequence.
