This sounds great. @jdownie could use fake money (Dogecoin) to buy fake goods on line. 
But, alas, this will be the first step in the next round of enshittification.

At least I found my zero fee online medical advisor/doctor using a AI, while the Internet pipes were only 99% clogged

Well, there will be a golden age where it’s useful to us all, then over time advertisers will pay to have their product promoted as “the cheapest” when it isn’t.
Sigh.
Given that this tactic is already widely used, I’d imagine OpenAI would be trying to monetise any sort of shopping feature in this way from day one!
