One of my sons took this picture of two Wrens at his home in WA. The birds flutter around quickly and he only had time to get of a quick shot with his Samsung Note smartphone.
You can see in the first image that the quality is terrible, the birds are small, the image is out of focus, basically it’s a terrible picture. He’s a big AI user and so had a AI process the picture with a prompt like this “process the image as tho it was taken up close with a macro lens”. Here are the “before and after” pics:
Before AI
After AI
How to save $20,000 in professional photo gear, cameras and lenses and hours of setup and waiting time or did he even need to be there and take his picture of opportunity.
How much of what we now see is real, or just based on reality and how do we know the difference ?
Cheers,
Textman
